“Just got back from a fantastic 4 days staying at the Alpine Vista with perfect hosts Ben and Maddison. If you want a friendly and welcoming chalet in the beautiful French Alps then look no further. Lots to do and see both in summer and winter. We opted for 3 days of cycling plus a little break of white water rafting. All in all an awesome holiday and can’t wait to get back 10/10”

“Had such a great time at Alpine Vista, so much to see and do in such a beautiful place. Lovely to meet Ben and Maddison who were very accommodating to a group of boys with bikes. Ben would drive us about if our ride didn’t start locally (which many do) happily fitting 6 bikes in the bus. We spent many happy hours climbing the famous cols of the area but should you need a day off the bike I can recommend the river rafting but be prepared to get wet! Once your day in the saddle or boat is over the modern chalet is a perfect place to relax in the evening and enjoy some quite exceptional food and if you’re lucky superb home made cake!”

“Had a great stay at Alpine Vista with a group of ten cyclists. The accommodation was perfect……..clean, comfortable, well equipped. We cooked an evening meal for ten on two occasions. The Hospitality and advice we were given was just what we needed and we didn’t even have one of the packages. The cycling was some of the most beautiful I have experienced in the Alpes!”

Perfect & Peaceful Chalet for exploring the Alps

We’ve just arrived home from an amazing 9 days stay at Chalet Mathilde. I’ve stayed before for a ski holiday and this was my first time in the Alps for cycling. It’s just a beautiful in the summer as it is covered in snow. The chalet is spacious and so comfortable. It’s located in beautiful surroundings with decking areas perfect for summer BBQs. Ben and Madison are the perfect hosts and are always happy to help. Ben is a keen cyclist himself and is very knowledgeable of the area. We were a mixed ability group, with some not cycling, but the surroundings offer something for everyone; from hiking, running, sunbathing by beautiful glacial lakes or a pop over to Italy for the afternoon for pasta (some in our group cycled to Italy and some drove). We were self-catering this time and (to be honest) I did miss their delicious meals having stayed before at the catered ski chalet! I definitely hope to stay again for both another ski and cycle season!”

Perfect base for a week of alpine road cycling

Lovely peaceful chalet in the heart of the Alps. Fantastic place to come home to after a day chasing Cols. Some big name climbs within easy reach of the chalet (Petit St Bernard, Roseland, Madeline, L’Iseran) as well as plenty of challenging roads up to nearby ski resorts. We were lucky enough to ample a couple of the host’s cakes – that’s really tempted us to go for the catered option next time!

Relaxed Accommodation, brilliant climbs!

“Stayed for a 9 day cycling holiday. The pick up (and drop off) from Geneva Airport from the host (Ben) took the stress out of the holiday and saved us from renting a car. There’s plenty of cols and cormets in the surrounding area to keep your climbing legs engaged – and the gentle pootle down to the little lake by Aime was very pleasant too. Fantastic hosts, fantastic location, secure garage for your bike (with tools – Ben’s a keen cyclists too) and brilliant weather. I will be back!”

“We had a great stay at Chalet Mathilde. The house met all expectations. The host is very nice and helpful. The chalet is a good starting point for some beautiful climbs and the best place to relax afterwards.”

“A group of five of us stayed for a week in June for a road cycling holiday. The chalet is in a perfect location to tackle some incredible climbs…. Cormet de Roselend, Col de L’Iseran, Col du Petit St Bernard (to Italy and back!)….Tour de France classics straight from the front door – no need for a support van to take your bikes to the foot of the climbs. Already planning next year’s trip.”
